It began with the evening commissioning in Decatur. The next morning it was ashes.
In the Holy Land it was the mists of the Hebron Spring at Banias rushing to feed the Jordan, and then the mud and minerals of the Dead Sea. At the Notre Dame Jerusalem Center it was the oil of a laurel tree.
Back home in Bangladesh is was the passionate notes of "By the Sea of Galilee,” a piano piece composed for me by my husband in my absence.
Anointed. In so many ways we have each been anointed on this journey.
The gift will last a lifetime.
